President of the union, Raymond Omorogbe, who gave the assurance, said students staying in the hostels will enjoy adequate supply of potable water and other amenities.
“I stayed in the hostel all through my early years in the university and I know what it means to stay in a very dirty and unkempt environment. The rot in our hostel, I later found out was because of the erratic flow of water in all the blocks of the hostel and most times there is no water.
“Some of the blocks in the hostels do not have access to water. But this administration has started addressing some of these problems and water problem would be a thing of the past,” he said.
Omorogbe said the union is working closely with the management of the university to achieve that.
On the security challenges, he said the school security team is mapping out strategy to end the challenges on campus.
