A Federal High Court in Abuja has restated its earlier order directing parties to maintain the status quo in a suit seeking to halt the forthcoming national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Justice James Omotosho, who presided over the case on Tuesday, adjourned the matter after hearing arguments from both the plaintiffs and the defendants.
The judge warned that he would be compelled to issue a consequential order against any party that resorts to self-help before the final decision of the court.
The suit was filed by three aggrieved members of the party, Hon Austin Nwachukwu (Imo PDP chairman), Hon Amah Abraham Nnanna (Abia PDP chairman), and Turnah George (PDP secretary, South-South), through their counsel, Joseph Daudu (SAN).

They are asking the court to stop the PDP from holding its national convention scheduled for November 15 and 16.
Justice Omotosho fixed judgment for October 31.
