Suleiman Dikwa has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of President-General of the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA).
He unveiled is ambitious and reform-driven manifesto at the association’s 37th Annual Conference in Abuja.
The former President of the Federal Government College Maiduguri Old Students Association (FEGOCOMOSA) said his vision is anchored on unity, member dignity, intergenerational innovation, climate resilience, and national impact.
His manifesto, he explained, aims to transform USOSA into a more inclusive, digitally connected, and development-oriented network of alumni contributing meaningfully to nation-building.
Among the key proposals in his manifesto are:
Legal Aid Fund (LAF): a member-driven initiative to provide accessible legal assistance through a nationwide network of vetted pro bono and subsidized lawyers, with emphasis on strategic litigation and digital-rights protection.
USOSA Connect AI Platform: an integrated digital engine designed to match members for mentorship, employment, co-founder discovery, and investment opportunities, alongside physical community hubs to strengthen professional collaboration.
Intergenerational Innovation & Enterprise Fund: a $100 million four-year fund to support youth-led innovation and climate adaptation enterprises, complemented by the USOSA Climate Enterprise Accelerator (UCEA) to train small and medium enterprises in sustainable business modelling.
Policy and National Influence: creation of the USOSA Policy Advisory Group (UPAG) to develop evidence-based policy recommendations, alongside a Nation-Building Volunteer Corps and a robust media engagement strategy to project USOSA’s impact nationwide.
Dikwa also announced the formation of a Campaign Council comprising chapter leaders and distinguished alumni from Federal Government Colleges to guide and support his campaign across the country.
Speaking on Dikwa’s declaration, Engr. Abel Imonighavwe, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of FEGOCOMOSA, praised his leadership qualities and record of selfless service.
“During his tenure as FEGOCOMOSA President, Suleiman increased membership, reactivated the Board of Trustees, and established the association’s advisory council,” Imonighavwe said. “He is a democrat who values collective decision-making, a man of integrity who often used his personal resources to sustain the association. Our members are proud of him and confident that he will bring visionary leadership to USOSA.”
A strong advocate for youth empowerment and sustainable development, Suleiman Dikwa is the pioneer Director of the Global Climate Adaptation Business Alliance and a long-standing member of USOSA. His campaign emphasizes professionalism, innovation, and partnership, aiming to position USOSA as a strategic player in shaping national policy and creating economic opportunities for younger alumni.
If elected, Dikwa pledged to run an inclusive administration that will empower members, strengthen institutional partnerships, and elevate USOSA’s role as a constructive force in Nigeria’s development journey.
