Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has tasked National Youth Service Corps, NYSC members to ensure self-reliance and promotion of Nigeria’s economic growth.
This is just as he assured the corps members posted to Sokoto state of their security while serving in the state.
The royal father spoke when he received the corps members deployed to the state under the 2016 batch ”B”, Stream two set.
"Focus attention on the skills acquisition training given to you. This is to enable you to become self-reliant and promote economic growth of the nation,” he said.
He also advised them to establish cordial relationships with the host communities.
”You should respect the religion and culture of their host community as this will smoothen your stay, " he stated.
NYSC Sokoto coordinator, Alhaji Musa Abubakar, said they were at the palace to seek Sultan’s royal blessings and prayers.
He stated the determination of the corps members to diligently serve the state and nation.
The coordinator expressed appreciation to the Sultan for his sustained support to the scheme.
