Sultan: We will keep working for united Nigeria

“The country belongs to all of us and we have to collectively ensure that it remains as one Nigeria. Nigerians should also continue to fervently pray in this direction,” he said.
The sultan stressed this at the weekend when he hosted members of the resident communities in the state.
He harped on the need for Nigerians to desist from using “religious , cultural or ethnic affiliations to perpetrate or encourage violence, insecurity and sow the seeds of discord and disunity.”
He added that such factors should not be used by any Nigerian in whatever guise to overheat the nation’s polity.
The royal father reiterated that causing mayhem or violence in whatever form or reasons does nobody any good.
He pointed out that God created Nigerians with diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds with a view to co-existing harmoniously, as a united force.
The Sultan said “these differences amongst Nigerians were allowed by God to unite us not to separate and disunite us.’’
He also urged members of the public to help in identifying strange persons in their midst.
