The Super Eagles of Nigeria continued their dominance of the Unity Cup with a 3-0 win over Jamaica at the Valley stadium in London.

The victory confirmed Nigeria as 2026 Unity Cup winners in a replay of last season’s final, with the B team winning the tournament in regular time without the need of penalties it required last year.
Alhassan Yusuf scored a brace and captain Terem Moffi netted either side of the midfielder’s goals to hand Nigeria a fourth Unity Cup crown, as Nigeria remain the only nation to win the tournament since its inception.

Yousuf’s two goals are his first for Nigeria in 10 national team appearances.

Nigeria continued their dominance of the Reggae Boyz, as the AFCON 2025 bronze medal winners made it six meetings without defeat, winning three of the encounters in regular time.

Nigeria went ahead on three minutes through Alhassan Yusuf who capitalized on errors from the Jamaican defender and goalkeeper. He was on hand to provide an emphatic finish after the goalkeeper pushed a header back into the danger area for 1-0.

The World Cup-bound Caribbean nation went two-goals behind on 58 minutes when captain Moffi was on hand to nod home Femi Azeez’s cross to seal the well deserved win.

Yusuf added gloss to the win with a solo effort in added time to show the gulf in class between Nigeria’s Team B and Jamaica’s World Cup squad.

Nigeria will continue their summer football activities with friendly matches against Poland on Wednesday in Warsaw, and Portugal in Leiria on June 10.
