Super Eagles Supporters Club’s BOT approves April 1st Election

The Board of Trustees of the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), has approved the club’s April 1st election to take place in Abuja.

It encouraged members to vote for leaders of their choice without any form of intimidation and also reflect the spirit of sportsmanship.

Arising from a meeting in Abuja on Thursday, the BOT believes a free and fair democratic process to elect new leaders will further enhance the progress of the club.

With this, it is now crystal clear that Dr (Barr) Johnson Amawoei Dagana will succeed Prince Vincent Okumagba as president.

Prince Vincent Okumagba, the current National President has served the most vibrant national team supporters club for four years. However, there seems to be a consensus that Okumagba will be succeeded by Dagana as he will contest unopposed.

Dagana, a legal luminary who also holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (ph.D) in Political History Diplomatic Studies, is the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the supporters club and Chairman of Chairmen for the SESC.

Positions to be filled include National President, Deputy National President, National Vice President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Welfare Officer, Social Secretary, Chief Whip and Internal Auditor.

SESC is one of the most respected supporters club across the world. At AFCON Cameroun 2022, one of the SESC side attraction crew “Iyabo Afolabi” was awarded the FAN of the match and in the just concluded AFCON Under 20, Egypt 2023, Alhaji Musiliu Alao Jimoh” received the Fan Award from Orange.
