Supporting the Executive to persecute the Parliamentarian is dangerous-Shehu Sani

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debt,Senator Shehu Sani has cautioned against persecution of Nigerian lawmakers by the executive.

According to him, such persecution is setting a dangerous precedent for democracy and nurturing the seed of absolute totalitarianism.

The lawmakers on Sunday in a tweet posted a photo which he tagged,"Frame up Season" fews hours after the Nigeria Police Force invited Senate president Bukola Saraki to answer to allegations surrounding his links to the armed robbers behind the deadly robbery of a handful of banks in Offa in April.

It could also be recalled that the senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly,Dino Melaye was arrested and arraigned in court by the police early last month.

Sani was also invited by the Nigerian police for alleged murder case in April.
