The capital came out on top for the third consecutive time in the survey and it was followed by Hsinchu, with Greater Taichung and New Taipei City tied for third, according to the Chinese-language magazine, CommonWealth Parenting, which conducted the survey.
The latest edition of Spotlight, a quarterly publication of Taiwan Trade Mission in Nigeria, made available to Daily Trust, stated that Taoyuan County ranked fifth this year, while Keelung finished last.
The magazine based its survey on education, lifetime learning and family lifestyles.
Greater Kaohsiung, ranked eighth in the previous survey, dropped to 12th this time, making it the only one of the nation’s five special municipalities not in the top 10.
The highest-ranked cities and counties obtained their top scores due to long-term efforts to improve their education infrastructures and developed innovative curricula.
The survey was conducted from May 14 to June 13 and collected 10,446 valid samples.
