Surveyors proffer solution to high construction cost

The theme of the 2015 Summit is “Value-for-Money Imperatives for Project Costing in Nigeria” and was chosen to find out why costs of construction projects in Nigeria are among the highest in the world.
In his address, Mallam Husaini A. Dikko, President of the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) said that cost of construction in Nigeria is one of the highest in the world.
He said that stakeholders are worried over total absence of value-for-money in Nigeria’s project development and the rampant cases of abandoned and uncompleted projects because of poor project planning and management.
