A commercial motorcyclist, simply identified as Rabilu, was reportedly strangled to death by thieves on the Shadadi-Lanto road in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A source, Ayuba John, said the incident happened around 9pm on Sunday when they saw the corpse in a river.
He explained that the victim conveyed two persons who pretended to be passengers from Prison Junction in Kuje town to Lanto village and that upon arriving at the river, one of the passengers brought out a rope and hung it on the cyclist’s neck, which forced him to stop.
He said, “They now used the rope to tie his neck and also used a cloth to gag his mouth before they escaped with the motorcycle.”
