The Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG) has arrested a suspected cattle rustler, one Aondoaver Baa, in Mbanyamshi Council Ward of Gwer West LGA of the state. 

The suspect was reportedly arrested at the weekend.

He was alleged to have been contributing to the violence perpetrated by armed invaders in the state.  

Security Adviser to the Benue Governor, Chief Joseph Har, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, saying that he had been handed over to the police for prosecution.

Har believed that the arrest would mark a significant step towards addressing the issue of insecurity and protecting the lives and property of Benue citizens.
