A 19-year-old suspected cultist has been arrested by the police in Ogun State with a locally made pistol opposite Crawford University in the state.

Daniel Bartholomew, who was reported to be a notorious cultist terrorising Agbara and its environs, was arrested on Friday for alleged roles he played in series of cult clashes in places that included Agbara, Lusada and Igbesa.

The command spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested with one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge and that he has made a confessional statement to the fact that he was a leading member of the dreaded EYE confraternity.

Oyeyemi said the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that the suspect be transferred to FSARS for investigation.
