Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a suspected female drug dealer, identified as 43-year-old Esther Etafo, for alleged illicit drug activities in the state.
The suspect was reportedly apprehended by operatives of the Ovwian-Aladja Police Station along Oruworun Road, Udu, in possession of various hard drugs.
The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, stated that the suspect was arrested by the police in collaboration with members of the Anti-Cultism Volunteer Group.
He noted that the police, acting on credible intelligence regarding illicit drug activities along Oruworun Road, conducted a targeted raid on the area, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Edafe said a search of the premises led to the recovery of various suspected hard drugs, including cannabis (weed), “kolos,” “ice,” “loud,” and fermented Indian hemp.
He added that three blenders, suspected of being used to process the substances, and N55,000, believed to be proceeds from the illicit trade, were also recovered.
The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
