A man suspected to be a cattle rustler, armed robber and kidnapper in Katsina has been arrested, police said.

The suspect, Ibrahim Muwange, 35, of Duffar Mato Malamai village, of Danmusa LGA of Katsina State was nabbed at Dayi, Malumfashi LGA of the state.

The police command spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, in a statement said based on a tip off, the command succeeded in arresting the suspect, who had been on its wanted list in connection with various cases of cattle rustling, kidnapping, culpable homicide and armed robbery.

According to him, the suspect has for long been terrorising communities and residents of  Danmusa, Malumfashi, Safana and Batsari LGAs of the state.

In the course of investigation, he said, one AK 47 rifle was recovered in his possession and the suspect had confessed to the crimes.
