A Kano State magistrates’ court has ordered the remand of several suspected kidnappers at a correctional facility pending further hearing on charges of criminal conspiracy and kidnapping.
The suspects were arraigned before Magistrate Court No. 24 located at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport and presided over by Magistrate Muttaka Abba Dandago.
The prosecution, led by Barrister Bello Isa Lawan, told the court that the defendants were arrested at the Kofar Ruwa Motor Park in Kano. After the charges were read to them, the defendants pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Dandago ordered the suspects to be remanded in a correctional facility and adjourned the case to January 15, 2026.
