A 28-year-old man, identified simply as Joshua, was manhandled by a mob for allegedly stealing a woman’s android phone opposite IBB Square in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.

A witness told our reporter that the suspect invaded a private laboratory in the area to ask after a friend and that in the process he allegedly picked the woman’s phone.

He said the woman was attending to patients and that the suspect removed the phone from where she plugged it to charge.

He further said, “When the woman realised that her phone was stolen, she raised alarm.

“The suspect who had left the scene handed over the phone to one of his friends he came with to the lab.

“When he was confronted, the suspect denied stealing the phone, which prompted a mob to pounce on him before he confessed stealing it.”
