Director of Finance at Hadejia Jamaare River Basin, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has said the appointment of Former governorship candidate of the defunct All Nigerians People’s Party (ANPP) in Kano state, Mallam Salihu Sagir Takai, as the Kano Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, will boost the lives of the poor in the state.
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, facilitated the appointment of the three-time Kano Commissioner, Former Local Government Chairman and as the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement on Tuesday, Kwankwaso commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Deputy Senate President, Barau I. Jibrin for their efforts in improving the living condition of the people of the state.
He said that by appointing Takai into the post, Tinubu is genuinely making efforts help the poor in the state.

According to Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, Senator Barau Jibrin has demonstrated leadership capacity by facilitating the appointment of Kano indigents into the Tinubu administration.
He said, “Takai is well known for his honesty, strong faith in God, Prudent Financial Discipline and maturity. There are the reasons Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau anointed him as his successor in 2011.”
Kwankwaso noted that in all the offices Malam Sagir Takai held, including Local Government Chairman and Commissioner, he was never found wanting. He conducted himself had never with integrity, without any marks of questionable characterization.
He added, “We heartily thanks President Tinubu for his foresight, because what he did would surely entice and earn him massive support in 2027.”
Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, who was also appointed as the Director Finance Hadejia Jamaare River Basin by the President, explained that all the appointments Tinubu offered to Kano People are strategic, saying that they show that the president is a true Nigeria, who means well for everybody.
He said, “We assured President Tinubu that he has no problem with Kano. As the people are supporting him now, they will also support his reelection in 2027. They will come out to vote for him massively.”
