Joyce said she had no intention of becoming a musician before 1994 until her songs were played for her in a dream.

According to her, her journey into music which started in 1994 was after she had a dream where somebody slotted in a tape she was told were her songs. After she sang along as the music played in her dream and woke up to find herself still singing the same songs in real life, marked the beginning of a changing life through gospel music for the talented artiste.

“God is sending me to use songs to preach the message and bring deliverance to people, because some people listen to my songs and give their lives to Christ.

Initially when I started singing, I didn’t feel like putting them in tapes but God sent somebody who came and told me that God said he gave me a talent  which I’m not making good use of. That if I don’t do something about that, I’m going to be punished.

I’ve not been to a studio before. I was not a member of any choir and neither did I know anything about doing music. I went to the studio without any initial knowledge about music. To get help, I travelled to Jos to meet Panam Percy Paul and told him I had no experience in music and I have been called by God to sing. He asked one of his boys to put me through and that was how I started,” she said.

Joyce has affected many souls through her songs and has released four albums before now. With her two new albums, she has 6-life changing albums and is still working hard to release more. She prays, she can be able to save souls through her songs and to see her songs travel far and wide.

Joyce who sings both in English and her local language would be doing the dedication at R.C.C.N. Koffai, opposite Taraba University, Jalingo, Taraba State.
