Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State takes major steps to revive education system in the state.
He said that the government would provide basic teaching materials and ensure regular payment of teachers’ salaries.
The governor, represented by the secretary to the state government, Mr Anthony Jellason, made the remarks after distributing instructional materials to schools’ principals in Jalingo, Monday. He said that the state government had paid its counterpart fund to the UNICEF and State Universal Basic Education Board in an effort to improve the sector.
Ishaku said that the government had distributed 300 computers to students.called on stakeholders to support government in order to achieve desire results.
