Taraba State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Victor Bala Kona and 700 other voters in his polling units said they have been denied voting as they could not find their names on the INEC voters’ register.
Kona, who was at his Sarkin Dutse polling unit 004 in Ardo Kola local government area of the state with his PVC for the accreditation process only found out that his name was not on the register.
Our correspondent reported that Kona went to register complaints at the INEC’s office at the local government before proceeding to Jalingo to meet the State Resident Electoral Commissioner.
When contacted, INEC’s Electoral Officer in the area, Inuwa Garba, confirmed the development, saying that he got similar complaints from about three other polling units in the area.
