Taraba senator-elect condemns attacks on constituents

The senator-elect for Taraba South, David Jimkuta, has condemned the recent attacks on Tsukundi, Kyhazo and Pita villages which claimed many lives and left several others injured in Wukari LGA by suspected Tiv militia.

He said, “I am deeply saddened and outraged by the heinous attack on members of our constituency at Tsokundi, Kyhazo, Pita and other villages, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of lives.

“This criminal act is a direct assault on the peace and harmony that we have worked tirelessly to foster within our community.”

While noting that the attacks were unacceptable, he called on security agents to arrest the perpetrators and prosecute them.
