The Vice Principal of Government Junior Secondary School (GJSS), Kwaita, Kwali Area Council of the FCT, Mohammed Ndastu Bako; a pastor; two daughters of an APC chieftain, Hussaina and Amina; as well as two others, who were abducted in Yangoji village have been rescued by a joint security task force comprising soldiers, police and vigilantes.

City & Crime earlier reported that kidnappers in during the wee hours of Monday invaded Yangoji, abducted six residents and shot an APC chieftain, Alhaji Mohammed Majaga, on the leg.

A vigilante, who preferred anonymity, and was part of the operation, confirmed the rescue of the five abducted victims to our reporter through telephone on Tuesday.

He said a staff of Gilmor Construction Company handling the construction of the Yangoji- Sukuku road was among the rescued victims.

He said the rescue followed a gun battle in the kidnappers’ den from Monday to Tuesday morning.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, was yet to confirm the rescue.
