Task force uncovers warehouse of alleged looted property

The Imo State Task Force on the Recovery of Looted Government Property has uncovered a warehouse allegedly linked to officers of the former administration.
The warehouse located along Aba-Owerri road was said to have contained government property allegedly looted by officers of the previous administration.
It was gathered that the warehouse located opposite Alaba Market contained furniture, air conditioners and electronic gadgets used to decorate the Imo International Conference Center, the Ahiajoku Centre as well as Government House offices.
Also discovered in the warehouse were the corrugated roofing sheets removed from the Imo State Secretariat and the state House of Assembly among other things.
Speaking with journalists, the chairman of the recovery committee, Mr. Jasper Ndubuaku, said the team acted on a tip-off and discovered the warehouse where most of the property were kept.
