The convergence of voice, video and data at work and recreation has placed enormous pressure on the PC in terms of how long it takes to execute specific assignments.
TD Managing Director, Marketing, Mrs. Chioma Chimere at a training for resellers noted that today’s multi-tasking achiever requires a PC that enables him to clear his desk in record time.
Intel Core, Mrs. Chimere explained, is a brand name that Intel uses for various mid-ranges to high-end consumer and business microprocessors.
According to her, the Intel Core processors are more powerful variants of the same processors marketed as entry level Celeron and Pentium. The Intel i3, the Intel i5 and the Intel i7 are the three divisions that make up Intel’s Core brand: a collection of consumer-oriented processors, or central processing units, for desktop and laptop PCs. She explained that identical or more capable versions of Core processors are also sold as Xeon processors for the server and workstation market.
