Aminu Musa, the Quranic teacher that defiled his 8-year-old student in Kano
A 41-year-old teacher in Kano metropolis has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 8-year-old student.
Daily Trust gathered that the crime was committed at the residence of the victim where the purported teacher was contracted to teach her and her elder sister how to recite the Holy Qur’an.
Spokesman of the Kano police command, S P Magaji Musa Majia, who confirmed the arrest identified the suspect as Aminu Musa, a resident of, Dakata Kawaji Qtrs.
He said the crime was committed on November 20 around 5:30pm which was their routine Qur’anic lesson hours.
Majia said the suspect was caught pants down by the elder sister of the victim before he was handed to the police.
He said the victim’s sister had also presented to the police the video recordings of the crime scene as evidence against the suspect.
“In his confessional statement he admitted that he was tempted into the crime when the girl asked him to assist her write some portions of the Holy Qur’an on her slate,” police said.
Majia said the victim was taken to hospital where penetration was confirmed by doctors adding that the command was going on with further investigations after which the suspect would be charged to court.
