A 37-year-old teacher, Odufuwa Abraham Oluwaseyi, has been arraigned in a magistrates’ court in Lagos State over his alleged involvement in a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate scam.
The defendant allegedly connived with some others (at large) and collected N600,000 from one Philemon Praise God to help her procure NYSC certificate.
The police told the court that the victim reported the matter after several attempts to recover her money failed.
The prosecutor, Akeem Raji, said following the report, the defendant was tracked to his hideout at Iyana Ipaja and arrested.

The prosecutor said during interrogation, the defendant admitted collecting the said sum from the complainant.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge in court.
The Magistrate, Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi, granted him bail with a surety and adjourned the case.
