A 33-year-old teacher has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly defiling two minors.

The suspect, Akinsoku Love Olomi, who resides at No10 Baba Esther area of Iyesi-Ota in Ado-Odo Local Government Area of the State, was arrested on January 4 following a complaint by the mother of one of the victims.

It was gathered that the complainant, who reported at Onipanu Division, said the suspect, living in the same house with them, allegedly defiled her daughter and her friend who are six and seven years old respectively.

A statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, quoted the complainant to have reported that the victims were playing at the premises of the school when the suspect called them into one of the  classrooms.

The suspect was said to have sent one of the victims to buy biscuit, hence, allegedly defiled the second minor while her friend was away.

The statement added that the suspect “then sent the one he had already defiled to go and buy another biscuit and he used that opportunity to defile the second one as well.”

Oyeyemi said the suspect admitted to have had carnal knowledge of one of the girls, “but he claimed that he only fingered the second one.”

He added that the two victims have been taken to hospital for medical examination.

The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper Investigation and prosecution, the spokesman said.
