Tech-U partners Texas varsity on exchange programmes

The Technical University (Tech U), Ibadan, has concluded plans to partner with the Texas Technical University (TTU) for an exchange programme for students and lecturers.
The vice chancellor, Prof. Ayobami Salami, who stated this in an interview with reporters in Ibadan, said the two institutions had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the programme.
He said the vice chancellor of TTU Lawrence Schovance, who signed the agreement on behalf of the institution, said they are elated to expand scholarly activities to Nigeria through the partnership with Tech U.
According to Professor Salami, the exchange programme could commence as early as the 2019/2020 academic session with TTU students coming for their six weeks internship in factories and institutions in Ibadan and Lagos as may be facilitated by Tech U.
He said a major goal of Tech U is to produce graduates that will be key players within the national space and in the larger global economy.
