An Abuja based ICT training academy, Techspecialist, has graduated nine software and programme developers in its August boot camp programme.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony in Abuja, a director at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Amina Sambo, urged the graduating developers to be innovative in order to solve problems for Nigeria.

Dr Sambo said that government, through NITDA would always support tech entrepreneurship in the country by offering scholarships to deserving students of tertiary institutions and others at IT hubs across the country.

In his address, the founder of Techspecialist Academy, Mr Kadiri Salami, said the school started the boot camp to groom more software and programme developers in the country.

He said the academy was looking to bridge software development gap in the country by creating an enabling environment for technological skill acquisition to thrive.

“ We are creating a forum for gathering the brightest and the best tech-savvy individuals and training them even further, to position them to leverage the benefits derivable from a digital economy,” he said.
