The Police in Katsina have charged an 18-year-old boy for allegedly raping his eight-year old younger sister.

The accused, Saidu Abdullahi was charged before a Katsina Magistrate Court for incest which is said to be contrary to section 390 of penal code law.

A Police First Information on the case deposited at the court showed that the accused, a junior secondary school student and the younger sister are of the same parents and are both residents of Janbango Quarters in the metropolis.

Abdullahi was alleged to have lured the victim to a toilet within the premises of a steel rolling company near their house and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

Thereafter, the victim was reportedly taken to the General Hospital in Katsina for examination and treatment.

After his arraignment, the prosecuting police officer, Inspector Sani Ado requested for an adjournment to enable police to conclude investigation on the matter.

The presiding magistrate, Fadila Dikko then adjourned the matter to February 14, 2018 for further mention on the case and ordered that the accused continue to enjoy the administrative bail granted to him by the police.
