Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola in Osogbo on Saturday told Daily Trust that the matter is under investigation and assured that it would be thoroughly investigated.

The girl said her father and her mother have separated and that she lives with her father in his house.
She said that her father threatened her not to tell anyone including her mother but she later decided to tell her mother.
She said: “My father covered my mouth with pillow when he rapped me and I saw blood thereafter. He threatened me not to disclose this to anyone.”
She said her father was a barber and later became a drummer and that he has four houses in Osogbo.
The girl who is in Junior Secondary School (JSS1) did not mention the specific date that the incident happened.
The matter was reported to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps through a Non-governmental organization and the case was later taken to the police.
