A 19-year-old Adekunle Samuel, on Tuesday, appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
The defendant, of no fixed address, is standing trial on a charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 18 at about 11am in Ijesa Isu, Ekiti State.
He alleged that the defendant stole a Jincheng motorcycle valued at N800,000 where it was parked, belonging to the complainant, Ayodele Deji.

Oriyomi told the court that the motorcycle has been recovered from the defendant.
Counsel to the defendant, Mr Busuyi Ayorinde, urged the court to grant the defendant bail, the request Chief MagistrateAbayomi Adeosun granted in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till June 17 for hearing. (NAN)
