A 19-year-old man, Ahmed Saidu, has been arrested and remanded in prison for allegedly killing his friend, Yau Musa, during a traditional game they were engaged in.

The suspect and the deceased, alongside two others, Salisu Inusa and one Nayib, allegedly converged at Dutsen Bori village in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State to take part in the game.

When he was brought before a senior magistrate’s court, Saidu was said to have hit the deceased on the head during the game where he (the deceased) sustained injury and was rushed to Kafur Primary Health Care where he later died.

Charged with culpable homicide, the Presiding Senior magistrate, Abdul-Karim A. Umar, thereafter ordered that he be remanded in prison while the court awaits advice from the Ministry of Justice as the case was brought in for mention.
