The book is the second by the teenage writer. Angel, 18, establishes the mantra, there is no place like home.
“Homebound” published by Xlibris UK written by Angel Okwuosa tells the story of Ona, a girl from Boston who relocates to Nigeria with her family where she learns a lot about her country of origin and who she is in her own country.
Told from a quirky young girl’s perspective, this book will make people in diaspora to think back to when they were moving into a new place or going to a new job or school and the conflicting feelings of leaving behind old pals and meeting new people.
According to Okwuosa, people these days go up and down looking for a place to call home yet they do not know where they came from and how to adopt other people’s culture. “Homebound” will make them think back to the good old days of innocence.
Angel Okwuosa, born in London, is currently a Law student at the University of Birmingham. Her first book is “Diary of a Misfit.”
