Teengirls serving as suicide bombers?

The teens wear the Muslim hijab to carry out these criminal acts to the detriment of innocent Nigerians caught unawares. The various suicide bombings that have occurred in the country from Gombe to Kano, should be a source of concern to all Nigerians, hence the implication of some innocent Muslim girls being subjected to intensive search at social gatherings.
The incident in Kano where underage girls disguised to detonate bombs ata petrol station and trade fair complex calls for concerted efforts to stem the ugly trend.
It’s being speculated whether these bombers are the Chibok girls that were abducted by insurgents more than three months agowho are now being brain-washed to carry out attacks on innocent citizens.
Before now, these incidents were unheard of in Nigeria. However, it has now become a daily occurrence around us; we only read or heard such stories in Western media.
African culture holds women in high esteem and a lot of respect is
accorded to them in our family set-up. This has been the trend, but now some mischievous and undesirable people have started using our women to carry out atrocities against the society.
We call on the federal government to hasten and find possible ways ofdealing decisively with this new trend of insecurity in the country. The delay in rescuing the Chibokschool girls is proving to Nigerians that government is only postponing the evil day because the activities of these insurgents have continued to instill fear in the mindsof ordinary Nigerians as they go about their day-to-day activities.
They fear attending social and religious activities as witnessed during this Sallah period.
We hope measures would be put in place to bring to an end this daily loss of lives by the government whose sole responsibility as elected representatives, is to protect lives and property of Nigerians.
