The episode, which aired on Saturday, October 4, 2025, and hosted by CNN anchor Larry Madowo, chronicled Tems’ rise from making music in her Lagos bedroom to becoming one of Africa’s most recognised musical talents.
During the interview, Tems spoke about her creative journey, the challenges she faced on her path to global recognition, and her commitment to empowering young African women through her Leading Vibe Initiative. The initiative, she explained, was designed to encourage women to pursue their passions fearlessly.
She also reflected on her growth as an artist and her determination to shape her music on her own terms, while contributing to the elevation of African sounds on the global stage.
Globacom, in a statement, said it remained committed to celebrating African excellence and supporting platforms that showcase the continent’s changemakers.
