Tension in Rivers community over death of cult leader

Palpable fear has gripped residents of Obele community in Emouha Local Government Area of Rivers State over the murder of a repentant cult leader, Chica Anita.

Community sources informed our reporter that the repentant  Iceland cult group  leader was said to have been killed  in Ibaa community of Emouha Local Government Area by another cult member belonging to Deygbam.

Our reporter learnt that the deceased, who was at Obele town on Wednesday, 30th December, 2020, had a disagreement with  the Demgbam leader popularly known as ‘Naked’ which resulted in the deceased allegedly being shot.

Our reporter also learnt that tension rose on Wednesday night in the community following the death.

The source said that if proactive measures were not taken by security agencies, there might be bloody days ahead in Emohua LGA .

Spokesperson of Rivers State Police command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, told reporters that information on the incident was very sketchy.
