There is tension at a polling unti along Amusu Igboro area of Ijanikin in Lagos State over the alleged non availability of ballot papers.
Voters at Polling Unit 023, expressed shock that ballot papers was yet to arrive two hours after accreditation had been concluded.
A corps member in charge of the polling unit who refused to identify herself for fear of attack, said she called her Principal Staff Officer and that she was assured that they were on their way with the materials. One of the voters who identified himself as Sola Omokilani alleged that it was a plot to rig out candidate of one of the leading political parties.
“Is it the practice that accreditation would be completed before the arrival of ballot papers? Someone alleged that a big politician in the area directed that the result sheet must get to him before it gets to INEC. This is one of our strong hold where we are sure of total victory,” he added.
