The Executive Secretary of Tetfund, Professor Suleiman Bogoro, who stated this at a capacity building workshop on entrepreneurship development in public tertiary institutions, held in Katsina, described entrepreneurship as a major component of economic growth.
Represented by the North-west coordinator of Tetfund Mohammed Suleiman, Bogoro said it was necessary to enlighten students on how to be self reliant, considering the large number of graduates in the country.
He said the workshop was designed for those imparting knowledge of entrepreneurship in the schools, adding: “This form of education underscores the necessity to promote agriculture, service industry, metal and non metal fabrication and chemical and allied ventures development in institutions in order to achieve self sufficiency.”
