TETFund sponsors 93 Akwanga COE lecturers for PhD

The Provost of College of Education Akwanga, Dr Rebecca Umaru, says the Tertiary Education Fund (TETFund) has sponsored 93 lecturers to obtain doctoral and master’s degrees in the last five years. 

The provost, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Akwanga, said 31 of the lecturers were sponsored in 2013, 15 in 2014, seven in 2015, 24 in 2015 and 16 in 2016/2017.

“Thirty-four officials were sponsored for PhD between 2013 and 2017, while 59 were for master’s degrees in different areas,” she said.

 The provost also disclosed that TETFund executed projects worth over N6 billion in the institution in the last five years.
