Permit a space in your most widely read newspaper to express my profound gratitude to his Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON for creating 13 new emirates and over a hundred districts.

My appreciation is particularly on the creation of Boi District out of the present Bogoro district. The gesture remains one of the best legacy Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed will ever be remembered for.

The people of Boi, comprising the Ayah, also known as the Boyawa, the Zaar and the Ngas have been coexisting for the past 200  years. The unity and brotherhood existing between the three ethnic groups underscores that they’re willing to live together without fear or favor.

The Boi district, which will be headed by Ruh Mah Yah Bala Ibrahim Likita, is accepted by all the ethnic groups.

I wish to appeal to all and sundry to support the newly created Boi district for the good of all. We urge the people of Boi to forget the past and come together to chart a new course for posterity.

I equally want to thank members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly under the leadership of its Speaker RT Hon. Abubakar Y Sulaiman Dangaladiman Ningi for actualising the Emirates and Chieftaincy Law 2025 that gave birth to the creation of the new emirates and chiefdoms.

Finally, I urge all the newly appointed emirs and chiefs to discharge their duties with the fear of God. They should allow equity and justice to be the hallmark of their administration. May God bless our traditional rulers.
