Afghanistan has once again hit the front pages. I would put it this way: American Forces Withdraw –unceremoniously!
President Biden of the United States has said that America had achieved its goals in Afghanistan. It had captured Osama Bin Laden, it had crushed al-Qaeda’s operational capacity and it had trained the Afghan forces to repel the Taliban. Again, Biden, The Reasonable, asked Americans if they would still like to send their sons there. This is a great foreign policy action – rolling back federal might. Indeed, this is putting “America First” in better and positive light. I do agree that Afghanistann is not another Vietnam. Certainly it is not! It is one place in time and space where the “British Lion, the Russian Bear and the Chinese Dragon” met and could not conquer.

Why is Afghanistan such a conundrum? It is said to be so homogenous like Somalia. This country whose ancient past is engrained on its famous mountains is divided into clans and they will not allow it to develop. This conundrum is better called and known as Clanishtan!
