The screening of Kunle Afolayan’s movie, ‘The CEO’ will be opening this year’s edition of the NollywoodWeek in France.
The four-day event, sponsored by the Grammy Award-winning Beninese artiste, Angélique Kidjo, is billed to take place at the Saint Germain des Prés in the cinema Arlequin next month.
A release by the organisers, this year’s outing which is the fourth edition of the annual programme, will provide participants and guests a privileged opportunity to discover Paris as well, the movie which is the latest of Afolayan’s works and also stars Kidjo.
According to the release: “Angélique Kidjo who just a few months received a Grammy Award for his latest album today offers the public a masterful interpretation of Dr. Zimmerman, a customized main role for this global icon who never ceases to surprise us.
“The cast of ‘The CEO’ offers viewers an unusual character of eclecticism: Nigerian, Moroccan actors, South African, Kenyan and Ivorian give this feature pan-African distribution, a portrait of today’s Africa a rare accuracy.”
