“I am presently reading Jim Collins’ ‘Good to Great,’ Okechukwu Ofili says, adding that it’s a great book that compares different companies, those just good and those that are great. He points out that the writer does many years of research and so his work is detailed.
But Ofili’s choice of the book was not a casual decision. He started reading it in order to get tips to help him tackle challenges thrown his way by Okada Books, his online book marketing company.
What he finds captivating about the book is its advice to organisations not to focus on what the competition is doing, but on themselves, and also, the wisdom in having simple offices, rather than lavish ones.
“So this helped guide my company and my thinking, so that we are not just a good company but a great one,” Ofili concludes.
