I remember Roger Moore growing up and watching some Bond films like Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, Octopussy, For Your Eyes Only, The Man with The Golden Gun. It was the thrill of our childhood. Growing up I discovered this film – Vendetta for the Saint and I thought his performance was immense in there. It is a spy chiller complete with Sicilian Mafia and Roger Moore was outstanding in delivering dry humour in the midst of chaos despite serious threats to his life. It is hard to get comic timings right especially for actors who are considered action stars but Roger Moore delivered with resonating aplomb.

I loved Live and Let Die, he had so much energy and was able to show he wasn’t racist. I think the New Orleans part when he attended Mardi Gras festivities was my favourite part of the movie. It was eventful and to see Bond go on a mission in a different setting as against his usual Caucasian villains and their environment, was a thrill for me.

For me, it’s The Spy  Who Loved Me. I loved the soundtrack plus the movie reminds me of the best times of my childhood. I love the laid back style of the movie. The not too serious way he executed his missions without that malicious attitude towards the bad guys and of course the humor and witty remarks. Plus, Roger Moore had style. He was also a sleek flirt.

This is very hard because while I liked all of his movies as Bond, from Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and  A View to a Kill, I think at the first mention of his name, The Spy Who Loved me comes to mind. I think it was my first bond movie and his interpretation of the character for one and the cheekiness of him in the last scene in the pod and so much more got me hooked.

Live and Let Die is my favourite James Bond/Roger Moore movie. That’s the movie in which he is most cheeky and the spooky vibe of the movie also helped me fall in love with it. The bits with the dwarf are also memorable. In fact, I think I love the entire Roger Moore as James Bond movies. He was a truly gifted actor and will be missed.

I loved The Cannonball Run. It wasn’t a Bond movie but it was a wacky comedy which was really hilarious. In this movie, I enjoyed seeing him in something that was out of his usual movie. The movie also starred Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean). Imagine our suave ‘My name is Bond’ icon in that.
