Happy New Year! Welcome to our year of EXCESS SUPPLY!

God is getting ready to show you a higher dimension of His love through His abundant supply.

We will have to dig deep to find out how to access this dimension and depend on the Holy Spirit to get us into it.

Luke 8:22-39, (Mark 5:1-20)

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. [23] But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. [24] And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. [25] And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. [26] And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. [27] And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. [28] When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. [29] (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) [30] And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. [31] And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. [32] And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. [33] Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. [34] When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. [35] Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [36] They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed. [37] Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. [38] Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, [39] Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.”

There is a mystery that works in heaven and earth. It is is worship. It takes you to heaven and brings heaven to you. Nothing else does that!

Praise draws God. This is best illustrated by the account of the healing of the mad man of Gadara. Jesus was drawn to this man. He left everything He was doing to go look for this man. He crossed the lake to look for a man at the tombs. It must have been very important to Him.

There are two reasons: the first is worship. WORSHIP DREW JESUS TO A MAD MAN! Look at the first thing the man did when he sighted Jesus, he ran and worshipped Jesus, calls Him Son of God even when most of His disciples didn’t know who Jesus was. Mark 5:6-7. He worshipped Jesus even in his condition. How do you react when things are not going your way? Do you worship God or blame Him? No wander Jesus was drawn to him! God inhabits the praises of Israel. He is drawn to worship! He is not drawn to everyone, He is drawn to worhippers!

The second reason Jesus was drawn to this man had to do with expansion of territory. The conversation between the demons and Jesus is very revealing. The demons pleaded with Jesus to be left in the territory. Their concern was not the man, it was the territory. They wanted to remain in the territory. Jesus allowed them only they were not going to trouble anyone anymore. They left the man and entered into a herd of swine and perished.

Heaven wanted to extend its territory to that region of the Gentiles and this man had to be freed and commissioned to carry out that task. God is drawn to people who have a passion for spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Praise draws God to your world. And when God invades your world, everything changes! Madness was terminated and a new era of productive and fruitful life was launched! Do you want God to reside in your life and actively manifest His glory always? Make praise a lifestyle. The Psalmist said, I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth! Psalm 34:1.

The most complicated situations are resolved not with prayer but with praise. The most hopeless situations are reversed through unpretentious worship.

Shame ended because of worship.

He entered into his life’s purpose because of worship.

In summary,

1. Praise gives you access to the throne of Grace to obtain needed help.

2. Praise gives you access to God’s power. Heaven responds to praise with the release of God’s presence and power.

3. Gates respond to praise by flinging open.

4. Praise draws God.

5. Earth responds to praise with the release of its treasures. Psalm 67:5-6 tells us that our worship provokes the earth to yield its increase to us.

God’s unbeatable solution is high praise! Satan knows that the cheapest way to keep you out of the wealth of the land is to keep you complaining. What actually happens is that when you complain you are cursing the land. And the land you curse cannot produce anything good for you. Hell has no weapon that can stop a praising believer. Praise is the key that opens the door to the Throne of Grace. Create the optimum atmosphere and environment for your success through a lifestyle of praise and worship.

Once again, Happy New Year!

This year, you will not answer the call of your enemies!

You will not fulfill the agenda of your haters!

You will not end up a sacrifice on the altar of your enemies!

Your star will shine from North to South, from the East to the West!

Your turnaround will come early in the year!

God will uncomplicate your life and launch you into your glorious destiny, in the Name of Jesus!!
