From foreign testers it is report as the best in its class when it comes to handle. Even though the Jaguar XF gave the bimmer a run for its money we would likely believe what the testers say. Many cars still can’t match the E34 in delivery. The E34 was so good for track experience that we believe this one will do four times better. With adjustable suspension to suite your driving pleasure it makes capable for the task and challenges you throw at it. The only problem is the steering wheel lacks proper feedback due to its electric nature- which most drivers will hardly notice.
This new 5 series is built on a 7 series platform which means it will offer a high level of comfort and perhaps set a new standard for its class. Outstanding is there is no jittery ride and it is very very quiet. So you could hardly experience stress. This could scare Mercedes E-class off its skin.
The 5 series has always had great engines from the petrol to diesel. I am quite happy to say the diesel 3 liter diesel and petrol almost match in performance and cost about the same price. In addition it has eight speed transmission gear box with paddle shifter which the tester claim is smooth. All I can tell without testing is that it will be efficient.
The new 2011 5 series comes in standard leather seats for all trims even on the cheapest 520D. There is more head and leg room for passengers. The dash board is very inviting and has one problem which is the ignition hole is just in front of the gear lever on the center console-which is not ideal.
And the style of the car is not exactly competitive to the Mercedes and the Jaguar XF. But it still remains the ultimate choice for an ultimate driving machine.
