The revamped Tucson is a good-looking little SUV that comes equipped with many standard safety and convenience features at affordable prices. Sad to say, this new invention is not exactly a class leading crossover desired by many. But as I am right now in the ‘land of promise’ here in Akwa- Ibom state, it has however been seen as a trendy outfit. Even though getting interviews with owners of these vehicles has become very difficult because of the high level of insecurity across Nigeria, it is noticed to be trendy among Akwa- Ibom women.

According to international reviewers, the 4-cylinder can get a bit trashy, but it delivers decently peppy acceleration and the promise of improved fuel economy. But of course, it does suffer some set backs in providing a comfort with wind and road noise intruding almost at all speeds. This we assume is from the poor quality material used to put the interior together. Just like our first impression of last years Hyundai Accent it comes with lots of plastic like materials.

From the exterior, its’ styling queue does look very compelling added with its size which gives it impression of being nippy enough to handle urban life. The head lamps are the most impressive feature to its new face but what impresses us here with this range is you could blend into high profile status Akwa-Ibom society.

For its ownership, Hyundai has proven its ability to stay on the road as it floods this ‘land of promise’ (obviously state government patronage has also led to such impression). Obviously, the banks will finance such option so long as it stays on the road among others and that’s what counts.
