Government is a collective entity, one man can’t do it alone. President Muhammadu Buhari’s first cabinet was a conglomerate; it was indeed different thing to different people; depending on one’s predisposition and perception. The achievements or otherwise of the cabinet  may be seen from the execution of beneficial projects as well as the implementation of people-oriented policies.

In PMB’s first tenure , we became familiar with two prominent concepts; ‘wailing’ and ‘hailing’. Almost all criticisms were seen and tagged as ‘wailing, thus given less attention, which In turn, exacerbated some of Nigeria’s problems. For many people (most especially some PMB’S ardent supporters), you are ‘wailer’ because you lose relevance and political influence. For the ‘Hailers’ category, the first level was that of economic viability, Agricultural growth and infrastructural development.

However, according to the ‘wailing’ group, everything was abysmally low; there was nothing good from the first four years of PMB. For this set of people, Buhari’s coming was a disaster, political miscalculation and regional biases that is embedded in our politics since first republic (1969-1966). They see nothing good, beclouded in hatred and enmity. There is clear demarcation between these groups, the first one swims in the ocean of love that prevents them from seeing mistakes and wrong-doings, for this group, they are always ready to defend the perceived incompetence (In some cases) of the administration, they do it with all courage, wholeheartedly.

In the last four years, we have seen transformation in many areas, so also lack of focus and ineptitude in some aspects. With the expansion of Federal Executive Council (FEC, from 36-43 ministers), our wish is to see rapid economic growth, nationwide infrastructural development as well as sustainable human development.
